Happy Tuesday! If you live in certain parts of the foothills you likely experienced a flash of short and intense rainfall last night. That was a trough passing through the region. Any leftover showers from that system have moved to the far east of the region by early this morning.

  • Beaches: Highs in the mid to upper 60s, lows in the lower to mid 50s
  • Mountains: Highs from the upper 50s to mid 60s, lows in the mid 30s to mid 40s
  • Inland: Highs in the mid 60s to around 70, lows in the mid 40s to around 50.
  • Warnings and advisories: Beach hazards statement, Frost advisory, High wind advisory

In Los Angeles County, today it will be sunny. Highs will be in the mid-60s to around 70 from the beaches to downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys. Expect lower-to-mid-60s in the Santa Clarita Valley and the mid-50s to lower-60s in the Antelope Valley. Air quality will be good to moderate.

Cool, below normal temperatures will hold through the rest of the week for most of the Southern California region. Gusty northwest to north winds will persist in wind prone areas through Tuesday afternoon. More light rain is possible this coming weekend as well.
