Vintage Vespas line up to show off (Andreanna Ditton/LAist) What’s more iconic of the 1960’s mod era than a sleek little Vespa bearing a stylish couple riding two-up through the heart of Rome or along the beach in Southern California? Or maybe that’s just my own retro fantasy. But more and more, I'm clearly not the only one grooving on that fantasy. Scooters are winding their way through L.A. traffic on a regular basis....

If yarnbombing sounds like a pleasant, and in fact beautiful way to bomb something, that's probably because it is. By covering areas of the city with yarn, yarnbombing exists for no other reason than to inject some color and art into the surroundings. And this weekend, the Arroyo Arts Collective will be exhibiting yarnbombing both in the area surrounding the 18th Street Art Center in Santa Monica, and inside the gallery.

Hilary Winston opened the wrong book at The Grove Writer-producer Hilary Winston (My Name is Earl, Community, Happy Endings) has the quintessential Hollywood story to tell. To complete the transformation to the dark side,...
