Topline:

The Ankler's breakdown of current entertainment job listings reveals plenty of career opportunities for tech-savvy and entry-level candidates, but not so much for creatives.

Why it matters: Just a few weeks ago, Paramount Global slashed around 800 jobs. As studios and networks continue to make cuts in a bid for “efficiency,” and development has slowed amid a post-strike backlog, uncertainty about current and future job prospects in Hollywood are high.

So, where exactly are there job opportunities right now?

In this follow-up to last month’s look at the growing career fields of Hollywood, Elaine Low examines all of the public job postings at Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Amazon Studios and Prime Video in the Los Angeles area. The results are eye-opening.

Although there is a predominant demand for tech- and data-driven talent, some creative positions are open, particularly at Amazon.

Big things have small beginnings: According to a close examination of the current 111 jobs at Warner Bros. Discovery, internships and other early-career positions are the most prevalent.
