Authorities ask for help identifying suspects in stolen painting case
A painting worth approximately $10,000 was stolen from an art gallery in Los Angeles, and authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying five suspects who were caught on camera.
The suspects include four men and one woman, white or Hispanic, between ages 18 and 24, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
The thieves entered the gallery at 6th Street and Pacific Avenue after it opened, took the painting from the wall and fled down the 7th Street alley, police said.
Two of the male suspects held skateboards, the woman was wearing a pink shirt and a man with sunglasses was carrying the painting.
A reward is being offered for the 2004 painting, titled "Escondido."
