All The Food We Tried At The LA County Fair

Chicken Charlie's has you covered at the LA County Fair serving everything from the Hot Cheeto covered to the deepfried. (Chava Sanchez/ LAist)

Your arteries might hate you but your Instagram followers will heart you. It's L.A. County Fair season, a month-long opportunity to shorten your lifespan as you revel in all manner of gloriously gluttonous food, preferably dusted in Flamin' Hot Cheetos and served on a stick.

Fried cheesecake. Fried cookie dough. Fried pineapples. Glazed donut towers. Funnel cakes pumped full of banana pudding. And something called a "nitro churro." So go ahead and hoist a giant turkey leg in one hand and brandish a breaded, deep-fried delicacy in the other. Good luck and godspeed. It was nice knowing you. — Elina Shatkin

The L.A. County Fair is open from August 30 to September 22, Wednesdays through Sundays, and on Labor Day.
