Geena Davis has had an incredibly successful career, winning an Academy Award for her role in 1988's "The Accidental Tourist" and the 2006 Golden Globe for Best Actress for "Commander in Chief."
But everyone's gotta start somewhere, so Davis told us about the mishaps that occurred the first time she was cast in a movie.
I had studied acting in college, but it turned out that the very first audition I had for a movie was for "Tootsie," and I got the part, which was just extraordinary, but I was really terrified about not knowing what to do when I got to the set. I mean, it's Dustin Hoffman and Sydney Pollack, and they're going to realize that I don't know what I'm doing. But I didn't know you're only supposed to come on the days that you're working. And so I came everyday for six weeks, because I thought that was just part of it. I'd get a chair and put it right next to Sydney Pollack and sit there all day.
