“Star Wars” is getting almost universally positive reviews. But there’s at least one prominent Hollywood figure who is very unhappy about the release of “The Force Awakens.”

Quentin Tarantino shot his new movie, “The Hateful Eight,” on Ultra Panavision 70mm, a wide-screen format that only a handful of theaters in the nation can project. (You can find a list of theaters here.)

One of those few theaters is the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.

Screenings of “The Hateful Eight” were supposed to start at the iconic theater on Christmas Eve, but Tarantino is now saying that his film has been bumped from the venue because of “Star Wars.”

Disney, the distributor of “Star Wars,” is declining to comment, but Tarantino certainly isn’t. Here’s what the writer-director said on Howard Stern’s show today. (WARNING: contains course language)

So maybe we should now call the Hateful Eight the Hateful Nine.
