Marty & Elayne: LA's favorite jazz duo is still swingin' at the Dresden after 35 years

The married lounge act duo Marty and Elayne started performing at the Dresden Room in the Los Feliz neighborhood 35 years ago.

And for five days a week every year since, the pair has spent their evenings performing swingin’ jazz tunes for anyone who will listen. He’s on drums. She’s on keyboards. And they both sing.

Marty and Elayne’s status as L.A. legends gained global fame in 1996 thanks to their appearance in the Vince Vaughn- Jon Favreau movie, “Swingers.” But they didn’t let fame go to their heads.

Frame producer Michelle Lanz stopped by The Dresden to visit with Marty and Elayne ahead of their 35th anniversary celebration last month.
