A new pedestrian walkway will connect California with the Tijuana Airport in Mexico. This is expected to expedite flight between the two countries.

On Wednesday a pedestrian walk-way will officially connect the Tijuana Airport with a new terminal in San Diego. The new project is being dubbed by some as "The cross-border express".

How rare is this sort of thing? According to Elliot Sagat, a writer for the Associated Press, he could only find one other example, and that was between Sitzerland and France.

We spoke with him more about why this new path is such a big deal and how it's going to work for travelers in the coming months.
