This may surprise some of you,  but Thanksgiving isn't only celebrated in the U.S.

Families in Canada, Liberia and on a little island off Australia called Norfolk also share in this very American holiday. The reason, for the most part, is because Americans took their traditions -- and their recipes - to these countries.

Mark Johanson is an American but resides in Australia. He is the travel editor for the online publication, International Business Times and has written about this global Thanksgiving.
