State of Affairs: Oversight of LA Sheriff's Dept and illegal marijuana dispensaries

Southern California Public Radio political reporters Frank Stoltze and Alice Walton on "State of Affairs," Take Two's look at the week in politics in the Golden State.

The big news out of the county this week was that the Board of Supervisors agreed to establish a civilian oversight board over the L.A. Sheriff's Office. Plus, Members of the L.A. City Council took action this week to further shut down illegal medical marijuana dispensaries. Councilwoman Nury Martinez wants the city to stop taxing hundreds of dispensaries that shouldn't be open. And there's been a snag in the appointment of a county "Child Protection Czar."
