Sonoma County observatory hosts star parties

Stargazers and astronomy buffs in Sonoma County have a well-kept secret: the Robert Ferguson Observatory.

It's nestled inside Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Kenwood.

And at least once a month, it opens its telescopes for public star parties.

The California Report's Sarah Bernard went to one, and has an audio postcard.
