Terry Masear, has made it her mission to find injured hummingbirds and rehabilitate them here in Los Angeles.

It weighs less than a pound...but it can dive through the air at 60 miles an hour..

It's the awesome creature that is the hummingbird.

You can find them in almost every state in the U.S., and there are about 10 species just here in California. Not so long ago, their population numbers were not as high.

But our next guest, Terry Masear, has made it her mission to find injured hummingbirds and rehabilitate them here in Los Angeles. She has been tending to these mini winged creatures for over a decade, and estimates she's rescued as many as 10,000.

She has a new book out: "Fastest Things on Wings: Rescuing Hummingbirds in Hollywood."
