The LA Times' Rebecca Keegan notes that Hollywood studios were among the big spenders in yesterdays Superbowl of advertising.

A trailer for the latest in the Jurassic Park franchise seemed to be the biggest hit with viewers.  Not getting so much love, a spot for another franchise sequel, Terminator Genisys.

Keegan notes that among the teasers for films there was also an ad that seems to be at least partly related to a film.  The Church of Scientology ran a Superbowl spot.  An unflattering documentary about the church just screened at Sundance.

In other Hollywood news, reports that Michael Keaton is considering the lead role in a film about America's foremost fast food franchiser, Ray Kroc.  And it's not a fawning bio pic, by any means. The script depicts the man behind McDonalds as something less than honorable, and focuses on his deal with the McDonald brothers who came up with the idea for the burger giant.
