Mark Jordan Legan is our guide for The Binge - and he's here to highlight some great shows or movies you should start watching right now.

Here are his picks!

Idris Elba stars in the incredibly well received, award winning British crime drama.  Elba plays a British Police Inspector named John Luther, who has many personal demons and a fiery temper that gets him in trouble with his superiors but no one is better at solving cases.

The way Luther does his job is he obsessively goes over every single detail, he’s like a dog after a bone.

Billy Bob Thornton won a Golden Globe for his performance in the first season and it is very well deserved. Thornton is outstanding in the lead role of Billy McBride – a formerly big time lawyer who drank it all away and is now basically washed up.

The show is also very well acted – not only from Thornton but Molly Parker, Maria Bello and William Hurt are just a few of the veteran actors who deliver excellent performances.

From producer Ryan Murphy, who has given us everything from Glee to American Horror Story, this anthology series tells the story of the infamous filming of the classic psychological thriller, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. The  the 8 part series focuses on the feud between it’s two aging stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford – superbly played by Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange.

It's campy and catty but also sad and smart and incredibly moving. And there is a great supporting cast – everyone from Stanley Tucci as Jack Warner to scene-stealing Judy Davis as Gossip Maven Hedda Hopper. I do have to say though, that of all the episodes the pilot is probably the weakest, so hang in there – this is one of those series that just gets better and better with each episode. A remarkable recreation of Hollywood back in the day.
