President Obama said he expects Congress to introduce an immigration reform bill next month. The LA Archdiocese has played a key role over the years in advocating for change. Before he was stripped of his duties for mishandling sex abuse cases, Cardinal Roger Mahony was a leading voice for immigration reform. His successor, Archbishop Jose Gomez, has taken up the cause.
