How do you get more Latinos working in TV? A new Univision partnership might be one answer
According to a survey by the National Hispanic Media Coalition, one third of people who responded to a poll assumed more than half of Latinos living in the U.S. are undocumented immigrants.
Where do those beliefs come from? In part, from what we see in film and television.
The NHMC has been working hard to promote better representation of Latinos in entertainment media. This week, it's announcing a number of new partnerships — including collaborations with Univision and Televisa — to train more Latinos to write for TV shows.
