In the new memoir "The Heavy," Dara-Lynn Weiss writes about her efforts to help her seven-year-old daughter lose weight. The book follows a controversial article Weiss wrote for Vogue magazine.

Last March Dara-Lynn Weiss wrote an article for Vogue about her decision to put her seven-year-old daughter Bea on a diet. At 93 pounds and 4 foot 4 inches, Bea's weight was already giving her elevated blood pressure and, according to her pediatrician, put her at risk for diabetes. After the Vogue article ran, Weiss came under blistering fire in the media and on parenting blogs across the web.

Weiss has a new memoir about her family's struggle with weight, food and body image, as well as her experience as the Internet's most-wanted mom. The book is called "The Heavy."

Weiss joins Take Two to talk to Barbara Bogaev.
