It's taken orders from the governor and state legislators, but it's now official: The state transportation agency, Caltrans, will soon put a number of properties it owns on the 7-10 Corridor up for sale.
The organization has owned hundreds of homes in the Pasadena and South Pasadena area for decades in anticipation of a freeway extension... That has never been built.
The sale includes forty-two properties and is scheduled to begin sometime this fall.
Most of those homes in question are in the city of South Pasadena.
