Asian-American Christians see insensitivity in Saddleback Church Facebook post
Racial tensions flared between some Asian-American Christians and the evangelical community recently in the wake of a pair of incidents involving the influential Southern California pastor Rick Warren and his Saddleback Church in Lake Forest.
A post on Saddlebrook megachurch Pastor Rick Warren's Facebook page had the caption "The typical attitude of Saddleback Staff as they start work each day.” He later removed it with an apology, but not before upsetting some Asian-American evangelicals, because the image apparently depicts a woman dressed in the garb of Mao Zedong’s Red Guard.
