Nat Geo releases ‘LA 92’ documentary on 25th Anniversary of LA Riots

Using 114 minutes of only raw footage, a team of Oscar-winning filmmakers brings together a striking archive of events surrounding the L.A. Riots that gripped the nation 25 years ago.

The feature documentary “LA 92”, which debuts on National Geographic this Sunday, retells the violent chaos that erupted after the April 29, 1992, Rodney King verdict through multiple lenses and rarely seen videos. Host Larry Mantle speaks with co-directors Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin on the making of the film, and how Angelenos remember the civil unrest that tore their city, and lives, apart.

“LA 92” premieres on National Geographic this Sunday, April 30, 2017, and theatrically Friday, April 28, 2017 at Laemmle’s NoHo.
