The New Director Of The Los Angeles Zoo

The Los Angeles Zoo has a new director! John Lewis comes to the Los Angeles from the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and began his career working with primates, supervising orangutans, baboons, lemurs and more. Lewis moved on to oversee major exhibits of mammals, birds and reptiles, and then to direct the John Ball Zoo. He is on the board of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, and is married with three children, one of whom is stationed in Iraq with the Army's 3rd Armored Cavalry. John Lewis joins host Larry Mantle to talk about his experience and his plans for the Los Angeles Zoo.
