The L.A. Zoo's New Gorilla Habitat
On Thursday, the Los Angeles Zoo opened its Campo Gorilla Reserve, a brand new habitat which introduces Western lowland gorillas back into the zoo after a 4 1/2-year absence. The new exhibit is part of a larger overhaul of the zoo, which will eventually include a habitat for golden monkeys from China as well as a new elephant exhibit. Larry talks with John Lewis, Director of the L.A. Zoo, about the new gorillas and the continued construction at the zoo.
