Malibu’s J. Paul Getty Villa, a re-creation of an ancient Roman Villa found under the ashes of Mount Vesuvius near Pompei, is reopening Saturday. The Museum closed in 1997 for renovations, which were supposed to take just a few years. 9 years and 270 million dollars later, the Villa is finally opening its doors again to the public this Saturday.
