The End of Ramadan

The new moon has been sighted, ending the month of Ramadan, the traditional Muslim time of fasting. Now begins a holiday called Eid al Fitr, a day of joy and thanksgiving. The feast day of Eid Al Fitr, literally, "festivity (from the) breaking of the fast" is celebrated with food, new clothes and much visiting with family and friends. Joining Host Larry Mantle is Khalid Shaukat, a scientist and astronomer, and Dr. Sayyid Mohammed Syeed, Secretary General of the Islamic Society of North America.
