Second District Court to Polanski: ask to be sentenced in absentia

Roman Polanski's 1977 plea of unlawful sex with a minor will not be overturned. In an unusual move, the Second District Court of appeals suggested a legal strategy that could avoid further incarceration for the film director. Will Polanski's legal team ask that he be sentenced in absentia or might he risk extradition by continuing to challenge his original conviction? Has the legal saga gone on too long? Or, must Polanski serve time for the charges he admitted to?
