An article in today’s LA Times highlights a controversy going on currently over the safety of the Burbank Airport runway and its proximity to the terminal. The FAA and the local Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport authority have said the current layout is safe. The Air Line Pilots Association disagrees. Plans exist to address the problem by moving the terminal, but they won’t be implemented for at least 10 years. Larry Mantle talks with stakeholders.
