Each week about fifty cartoonists submit ten ideas, yielding five hundred cartoons, for a mere twenty spots in The New Yorker magazine. Thousands of these brilliant "rejects" have been piling up in artist's studios around the country for years. Larry talks with Matthew Diffee, co-editor of the new book, The Rejection Collection: Cartoons You Never Saw, and Never Will See, in The New Yorker, about his favorite rejects, what Diffee calls "the cream of the crap" that he has gathered in this new, and truly never before seen, volume of cartoons.
