Quinceanera

Magdalena (Emily Ross) is the daughter of a Mexican-American family living in Echo Park, Los Angeles. While dreaming of the day she celebrates her fifteenth birthday, she learns she is pregnant. She seeks refuge with a great-great uncle and gay cousin who are also outcasts, but the unlikely friends face a crisis that threatens their way of life. Larry talks with Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, who wrote and directed Quinceanera, which opens in theaters this Friday.
