The Coalition for Clean and Safe Ports has unveiled an innovative solution to bring fundamental change to port trucking. The group, made up of port area residents, environmental, labor, and religious leaders, was joined by politicians and port officials at a rally last night in support of the Coalition's plan. Larry and his guests discuss the plan, whereby the ports would only issue contracts to trucking companies that agree to honor basic environmental, labor, and national security standards, in order to create a system of accountability at the ports.
