His first week as a State Assemblyman, Pedro was faced with the emergency response to the La Conchita mudslide that killed 10 people. So it’s only fitting that for the past four years he chaired the Joint Senate/Assembly Committee on Emergency Services and Homeland Security. He was a Deputy District Attorney in Fresno, where he headed the Targeted Narcotics Prosecution/Asset Seizure program. He also served on the Rape Crisis Center board of directors. As a prosecutor in Santa Barbara he worked in the Consumer Business Law section. Now he’s running for the Democratic nom for Attorney General. What else does he bring to the table? And what would he like to see changed in this important state office?
