The number of on-location film shoots in the Los Angeles area has fallen to its lowest level on record due to out-of-state economic incentives and the recession. The entertainment industry in Los Angeles lost more than 22,000 jobs in January alone, and demand for filming permits to shoot locally has plunged. Larry Mantle talks with FilmLA President Paul Audley about cutbacks in local film and commercial production and their impact on the area's economy.
