Larry Mantle talks with Los Angeles civic leader and philanthropist Eli Broad about the philanthropic tradition in Los Angeles, and his involvement in the efforts to revitalize downtown Los Angeles. Eli Broad is the founder of the Broad Foundation and a renowned business leader who built two Fortune 500 companies based right here in Los Angeles. Mr. Broad is chairman of AIG SunAmerica Inc., a leading financial services company specializing in retirement savings. He also serves on the board of SunAmerica’s parent company, American International Group, Inc. He is founder-chairman of KB Home (formerly Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation).
