To deal with the pain of losing her mother to Alzheimer's, writer Lauren Kessler became a caregiver at a facility for those suffering from the disease. Jon Beaupre talks with Kessler about her new book, Dancing with Rose: Life in the Land of Alzheimer's (Viking), which documents her experiences dealing with two groups of people at the facility: the victims of Alzheimer's and the underpaid, overworked employees who care for them.
