Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program

The Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program is part of an effort by California, Arizona, Nevada, Indian tribes and the federal government to protect endangered species over the next fifty years. Jeff Kightlinger, General Counsel of the MWD of Southern California, joins guest host Jon Beaupre to explain what the MSCP is, and how it will be implemented. Also joining the conversation is Jennifer Pitt, senior policy analyst with Environmental Defense, to critique both the merits and the shortcomings of the MSCP.
