Larry Mantle talks with sportsman and movie-maker Bruce McNall about his new autobiography Fun While It Lasted: My Rise and Fall in the Land of Fame and Fortune (Hyperion), which chronicles the rise and fall his career. McNall began as one of the youngest and most successful dealers of antiquities in the country. He soon branched out into horse racing, movies, and major league sports. Then, he bought the struggling Los Angeles Kings from Jerry Buss, and was responsible for bringing Wayne Gretzky to L.A. But, due to some creative accounting, McNall was sent to Federal prison, thus ending his rise to the top.
