Bridging The Gap Between Jazz And Classical
Larry Mantle speaks with musicians involved in “Clazzical Notes,” The Pasadena Symphony’s newest adult educational outreach program created to bridge the gap between the jazz and classical music communities. The program is designed to demonstrate the historical connection between these two music forms in both theory and form. Participants in “Clazzical Notes” hear musicians from both disciplines performed throughout the evening. The next concert entitled “What Becomes A Legend” begins at 7:00 pm, Monday, October 10th, at the Caltech’s Ramo Auditorium and is free to the public.
