Academy exhibits classic movie posters
For this year's Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences expanded the list of best picture nominees from five to 10 films. But this had been done before- for eight consecutive years from 1936-1943, the Academy also had named 10 films for the top award. The diverse movie art of the 80 films from that period is now on display in a free showcase. It features classic and rare posters for movies including Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Adventures of Robin Hood, and The Wizard of Oz.
