9th Circuit Rejects Ban On Hemp Products

On Friday, the 9th Circuit Court rejected a ban on domestic hemp consumption that was launched by the Drug Enforcement Administration in October 2001. This decision allows the sale of domestic hemp products such as soaps, energy bars, shampoo and oils but does not allow the domestic production of hemp. Larry talks with David Bronner, Chair of the Food and Oil Committee for the Hemp Industries Association and President of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, and John Roulac, founder and president of Nutiva, a Sebastopol California firm that makes hemp protein powder.
