Sabrina T. Sanchez
What I cover
I engage with parents, caregivers and educators raising young Southern Californians and make sure their voices shape our reporting.
My background
I’ve been building deep relationships with diverse communities in creative ways — such as text messaging and events — to ensure their perspectives and voices are heard by their local news organization.
My goals
I want my engagement to empower caregivers and early childhood providers to inform our early childhood coverage so it reflects their experiences and priorities. Together, I hope we can create news that’s more useful and responsive to the needs of Southern Californians raising the next generation.
Best way to reach me
I would love to hear from you if you have feedback or concerns about early childhood education. You can reach out by email at ssanchez@laist.com.
