What I cover
My team covers the education, health and welfare of children and those who care for them, from early childhood through K-12 and higher education.
My background
I've spent my media career reporting and writing about issues related to K-12 and higher education. (Unless you count my very good college radio music show, Tase This!) I've interviewed teachers and students across the country to better understand how we can improve public education.
My goals
I'm interested in explaining why our education system is the way it is: Whom does it serve? What is it supposed to do? And how do we set up all children to succeed?
Best way to reach me
I welcome ideas and tips from people who are curious about specific issues or frustrated by situations that should be easier to navigate. The best way to reach me is by email at rbrenneman@laist.com, so that I can also discuss with my team.
