The best part of my job is getting to peel back the curtain on the creative processes of incredibly talented people who work in arts and entertainment.
Since our newsroom's entertainment show, The Frame, went on hiatus during the pandemic, I've been working with our local broadcasts on 89.3 KPCC of Morning Edition and All Things Considered and filling in as a producer on AirTalk, our public affairs call-in show. I contribute often to the daily news you read here on LAist. I was previously a producer on KPCC's Take Two, and prior to that worked on NPR shows like Talk of the Nation and Morning Edition. I got my start in radio as a producer for PRI's America Abroad in Washington, DC.
When I moved back to Southern California after living away for several years, I had to overcome my fear of driving on the freeway (think Cher in "Clueless"). I've mostly mastered the driving part, but am still working on the ability to give out directions like "The Californians" on SNL.
