What I cover
On AirTalk I interview a wide-range of leaders in politics, entertainment, science, health, social debate, history, and the arts, coupled with the call-in and email participation of LAist listeners. I also host the movie review and interview program FilmWeek.
My background
For over 40 years I’ve hosted what is now the longest running daily talk show in the history of the Los Angeles radio market. Over these years I’ve conducted thousands of interviews that include U.S. Presidents, Nobel Prize recipients, Oscar-winners, and history makers.
I’m a fourth-generation Angeleno who has been fortunate enough to cover the region that I know well and love.
My goals
I value the emails and calls we receive from listeners that provide a mix of astute analysis and valuable personal experiences. I want AirTalk to thoroughly explore Southern California in its tremendous variety and complexity. It’s essential we combine expert guests and listener input to reflect that richness.
