Shortly after college, I found myself crisscrossing large swaths of the United States on two consecutive national tours as a performer-technician. In that pre-smartphone era, the radio was our constant companion. And regardless of where we were, there were two types of programming we could always manage to find on the FM dial: Christian music and NPR.
In almost two decades with this organization, I’ve worn many hats. I’ve overseen live programming and events and managed our broadcast-ready town hall venue the Crawford Family Forum. Now I also lead LAist’s audience engagement, community engagement, and marketing teams.
Together, we strive to reflect the communities of Southern California and to amplify our journalism across multiple platforms to better serve new and existing audiences by meeting them where they are.
Living in L.A. has turned my blood Dodger blue, fed an obsession with chilaquiles, and provided an idyllic and complex backdrop for life with my wife and kid.
