  • The Hollywood Improv Lab has been putting on some really intriguing stuff for a while, but their space is bursting at the seams this week with more shows than we can dare to list. There's plenty of other stuff around town, too.
  • There are plenty of shows all over town this week, from Irvine to Ontario and Hermosa Beach to Burbank. Frank Conniff and Erica Doering bring crazy cartoon comedy to the Steve Allen Theater Monday night. Get out and laugh!
  • The LA Comedy Festival starts this week, and there's a bunch of great stuff to get out and see. Elsewhere, Tremendosaur has a couple of shows lined up, and The Apple Sisters are back!
  • The Hollywood Improv takes the cake this week, with more great shows than we can legally list here, including a couple of charity shows. Good will all around! If you've got a show you'd like to see listed here in the future, email me.
  • It's a weird week for comedy, due in no small part to Easter coming up on Sunday. So, if you've got some free time this week, check out Splitsider's fantastic look at the Los Angeles comedy scene.
  • It's a week full of live podcasts and comedy competitions coming to a close, as March fades out in favor of April. If you've got a show coming up that you'd like to see listed here, email me!
  • It's an improv-heavy week, as the March Madness-style tournament shows continue to gobble up immense amounts of talent from Westwood to East Hollywood. Beyond that, newcomer indie improv shows are putting up a very good showing, meaning there's no better time to get out and see some of the most spontaneous, diverse comedy going.
  • We're still in the throes of March and all of its Madness, and this week is no exception. There are St. Patty's shows galore, tournaments abounding, and enough stand up shows to blow the buckle off your top hat.
  • It's the first full week in March, which means the comedy competition shows are beginning in earnest. From weekly improv tournaments to a month-long stand up challenge at The Comedy Store, this is the month for comedy to start getting real.
  • It's a week full of charity shows for the greater good, so be sure to get out and donate - both your laughs and a few bills. Russell Brand is doing a single show at Largo Monday night and much, much more.
  • What do you do when you just can't stand the world around you anymore? When the politics of today seem to be dimming the lights on your once-bright future, and the only people who even deign to notice are the smirking corporations? If you're Second City duo FrankenMatt, you put up a comedy show.
  • Another great week of comedy has descended upon Los Angeles, so be sure to make some time for a few of the great shows below, including Doug Benson at the Nerdist comedy cave and "A Carlin Home Companion" at the Santa Monica Playhouse.
