I copy edit the stories that appear on LAist.com, as well as occasionally copy editing our newsletters and social posts, to ensure consistency of tone, accuracy of information and clarity of communication to give readers the best possible experience when they engage with our high-quality, award-winning content.
My background
While originally from the Bay Area, I have spent time in cities all across the state of California. I also lived in New York for five years before moving to Los Angeles in 2019. I studied journalism at Humboldt State University and have more than 15 years of professional experience in print and digital media.
I have won awards from the California News Publishers Association and National Newspaper Association for my reporting, and in addition to being an editor, I have covered sports, entertainment, business and science for publications such as the New York Post and Nature World News.
My goals
I want to ensure that the top-notch work of our reporters and editors reaches the public in the best possible shape so that nothing distracts from the message and the mission of our stories.
