What I cover
While my coverage isn't beat specific, it is community powered. I build relationships with community members to understand what is directly impacting them and weave that into LAist's coverage, including how we tell stories about immigration and higher education.
My background
Prior to LAist, I was producing national and international stories for Snap Judgment and Spooked. While I was at Invisible Institute and City Bureau, I focused on community-driven investigative journalism and resident-centered local reporting.
My goals
I want to identify geographic and identity gaps in coverage and use that as guidance in reaching out to community members. I also aim to consistently show up and build community relationships that are not conditional to a story. In producing coverage, I want to meet community members where they’re at and develop aligned coverage in both the content and format.
