About my job

As president and CEO of LAist, I have the privilege of leading an incredible team that’s passionate about telling stories that matter to our communities. After more than 30 years in the media industry, I’ve seen firsthand how trusted local news can inform, connect and uplift people’s lives. Before joining LAist, I held several leadership roles at TelevisaUnivision, including interim president, general manager and vice president, director of sales for Univision Los Angeles. I also led Univision Arizona, where I oversaw all station operations, sales initiatives and digital strategies statewide. My journey started as an intern at Univision and grew into a career focused on building teams, serving audiences and supporting the next generation of media professionals.

My goals

I’m passionate about growing LAist’s impact and deepening our connection with the communities we serve. My goal is to help our organization thrive by expanding our reach, embracing innovation and ensuring our work reflects the voices and experiences of Southern California.
