For the past couple of months, two trucks have teased us as they prepped for their debut. The Grilled Cheese Truck tempted us with delicious photos before launching with great success last week. Up next is the Buttermilk Truck, which launches next week Wednesday at The Brig in Venice. With a breakfast and a late-night menu, there's a handful of items that sound savory. For example: the Hawaiian Bread Breakfast Sliders have Portuguese sausage,...

Tequila and sangrita from Ammo's small batch tasting earlier this year (Caroline on Crack/LAist) Whether you're celebrating Dia de Los Muertos (LAist Event Guide) or nursing a serious day-after Halloween hangover, one way to take away the sting and take part in a cultural tradition is to sip on some Sangrita. Earlier this...

Since Brent's Deli (of Northridge fame) opened in Westlake Village, the place has been packed. Well, it looks like developer Rick Caruso (of The Grove, The Americana fame) noticed this as well, and his center at the same off-ramp with Bristol Farms as anchor tenant is about to get a Nate & Al's from Beverly Hills, complete with the Mendelsohns. Let the Deli wars begin!...

Talk about burger explosion. After opening the original Umami Burger last year, owner Adam Fleischman this summer announced two more locations in Los Feliz (now open) and in Santa Monica (not open yet). And now Los Angeles Magazine finds that a fourth location will go inside the former Snack Bar space at Space 15 Twenty in Hollywood. That's killer, but, hey, Adam, how about some downtown and Valley love? Thanks!...
