Gordon Ramsay in "Hell's Kitchen" on FOX Anyone else watch programming on ABC.com? Get ready for more commercials on that web property as their research has shown that they can pump a lot more commercials at viewers than they thought they could. You gotta love the attitude of one of the members of the National Association of Television Program Executives, a panel that is supportive of the research findings: "The key is what is...

Oscar statues are actually made 2,000 miles away in Chicago. So sister site to LAist, Chicagoist, made a visit to the factory. Here's a sample: "Oscar starts life as an ingot of britannia metal (think high-class pewter). Always the achiever, he receives his first casting call early. The ingot is melted in a small furnace and the molten metal is then poured into a mold bearing the familiar pose. The casting process is an...

Oh, great. This means there will be sequel. | Photo courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment To the great dismay of the human, vampire and lycan kingdoms, Paul Blart: Mall Cop once again triumphed at the box office this weekend ($21.5M/$64.8M). Underworld: Rise of the Lycans made a game effort, but only managed a close second-place finish ($20.7M). After that it was the resilient Gran Torino ($16M/$97.5M), the silly Hotel for Dogs ($12.3M/$36.9M), the surging...

The show will be broadcast on TNT/TBS at 8:00 p.m. tonight, which will be live for Angelenos who have satellite cable with east coast feeds, but the usual 3 hours late for the rest of us who live where the show is happening, and in the town that is...

Are you one of those festival-goers who complains about the exorbitant price of tickets these days? Well, the fine folks at Coachella have designed a plan with the current economic downturn in mind. According to an article published earlier today by USA Today, tickets for this year's festival will be offered in a variety of payment methods. Aside from paying all $269 up front, fans will be able to "pay half down and the rest April 1, or pay 10% followed by equal installments on March 1 and April 1 without interest or additional fees." These proposed price-sensitive "layaway" plans will be sold solely via the internet and they will not be available for $99 single-day admission. So now there should be less deterrence when it comes to forking over your hard-earned cash.
